Increasing the step count can be done easily employing these obvious methods. Use the stairs instead of the elevator–that’s pretty basic. You could also choose to park a long way away from the front door of the store or the mall. Keep the car in one spot and walk your bags and boxes out to the car as soon as you finish shopping in each store rather than just carrying more and more things with you as you run your errands and go shopping. Using public transportation is fantastic for raising your step count since you have to walk to the bus stop and back instead of just to and from the car. And, obviously, getting a simple walk each day is a great way to increase your step count. 

There can be some less totally obvious methods to improve the amount of steps you take each day. Write your current grocery shopping list in a different order. Plenty of individuals set up lists by the aisles in their favorite stores. Organize your own list in groups including dairy, meat, produce, snacks, etc. Simply shop along the list from here. You could possibly wind up criss crossing the store several times but it’s a wonderful way to raise your step count. Instead of putting your mailbox in your front door or installing it in a wall of your house, put it out by the curb on a post. This could create at least two or three dozen steps to your count on a daily basis as you walk from the door to the box and back. 

There can be a lot of ways of build your current step count. As you become used to the idea of walking 10,000 steps a day you’ll think of excellent ways to reach this goal faster. The best thing relating to this idea is that every single step you take throughout the day counts toward your goal whether they are on treadmills or to the bathroom and back. Have fun on this!
